Improving living conditions of the ethnic groups in Kalaw-Myanmar

Although NGO's are present in Myanmar, they are often restricted to selective areas with little or no access to some minorities. On the contrary, local associations can be active locally, in close relation with ethnic groups and villages, which makes them a key actor in the process of supporting development in rural areas. Rural Development Society (RDS) was  established in 1993 by Tommy Aung Ezdani in Kalaw, Southern Shan State in Myanmar. It's action cover a large range of activities, from education, to rural development and the protection of environment.
